| The "International
Conversations: Differences and Fable Making”,
which will take place from September 24
to 26 at the Quay are a powerful meeting
spot for Porto Alegre Municipal Department
of Education, among others that have been
occurring since 2005, as a thought exercise;
a thought which is strategy, creation and
invention of other possibilities of life.
It presents itself as a potency for experimenting
different combinations of thought and collocations
towards the schools and city communities
in its several lines and ways of being,
in relationships which aim at grandeur with
no abridgment, domination or the other's
decreasing. They worry about practicing,
experiences that, trying to free, cloister
in a new cage, portrait of truth hung on
the new wall of the old truth broken down.
This is not the way one makes life worthwhile,
overflow the experimentations, the senses,
open up to multiplicities.
This experimenting is a big challenge to
deal with a proposal, with a policy which
does not look for homogeneous, universalities,
but prefers to choose micropolicies, to
strengthen life, making it a problem when
it seems calmer and natural. Dealing with
values, questioning life which is implied,
and not submitting life to superior values.
A proposal that is 'a proposal' for trying
to escape from prescription, and comes tacked
with several threads without a closed facing,
like a process which is being constructed
permanently. Just as life! However, as life,
it inspires itself without being exact,
much more as creation, invention. It questions
itself in relation to the ' making' of each
school, by actions which break frontiers
among the students who "fit" and
those who are considered as the ones who
"do not fit"; either through practices
that invent other ways of being a student,
a director, a father, a mother, a family,
a woman, of promotting education, of creating
the school curriculum, denaturalizing standards.
Standards that mark places, pre-establish
values which judge and evaluate as the only
truth both to everybody and to each one,
assuming that the difference does not happen
for absence, for identification, identity
or even for transcendence, since it is not
based on a reference, in a model, assessor,
regulator. Thus it produces singularities.
This proposal was designed in four vectors
which follow this Department of Education
since 2005: the undoing of the state racism,
denaturalizing patterns, the exercise of
the difference and production of singularities.
These vectors, these lines of action are
taken as tools, as strategies inspired in
Friederich Nietzsche's, Michel Foucault's,
Gilles Deleuze's and Félix Guattari's
philosophies, which have contributed to
the thinking of education without separating
thought and life, trying not to give in
to a "temptation" of applicability,
of the 'good methods' that would guarantee
"good results", understanding
that truth-is-from-this-world and it is
here to be invented, as well the value of
the values is to be questioned, as well
as the value of truth, of a logic of thinking
based on the model, in the reference. Operating
with this thought in a teaching network
makes us think of the logic of mass education,
of flock, and that we can rehearse, experiment
ourselves in gaps out of this logic, which
would not mean, then, a new totality.
This doing which questions itself turns
the word into act, creates something from
fiction. A pending word questioning its
own action; an action which hints as strength,
as a process, which operates in between,
a thinking open to achieving, which goes
through a word problem, of letting the other's
voice flow with no intervention, no censorship,
of opening oneself to the other, without
any pre-judgement, without squeezing him
in our meaningfulness. A materialized idea
that does not stick to preconceived concepts,
concepts already given in words which always
ask for verification, welcoming and living
the difference, which denaturalizes what
is established taking over the unusual.
Accepting being in the equilibrist's "razor's
edge", in "a nice mess",
to create what is unthinkable, displacing
the 'already given'.
Believing in the practice of the difference
and in the fable making (fabulação)
is to dance with life, to understand the
difference as constant movements of differentiating
which are not in relation to a model, to
a rule, to an establihed place. It means
to "break" with the opposition
between fiction and natural to believe in
this thought without image, in the reverse
of the representation, in the lines of creation,
setting free the fable making of the truth
model that frames it, as if it were the
other of what is real, the fable making
having the function of undoing this model
which does not accept being blurred, shaded,
misty, acting through rhizomes, with no
centres. A word in act, stagings, daily
experimentings, which go beyond the reproduction
and the observation, considering life as
a piece of art.
Thus, just like the three previous events,
this one does not present a formal framing,
it avoids a logic of lightening, believing
in conversation spots open to teachers,
students, school workers, Porto Alegre communities
and people in general, it counts on working
with more than 60,000 people in different
places in this learning city.
This happy harbor opens as an invitation
to thought teasing, as an exercise of thinking
the thought in different conceptions, a
space to have, with the Municipal schools,
experiences and creation of concepts, feelings,
perceptions, ways of dealing with dance,
music, theatre, cinema, visual arts, as
well photo narratives, handicraft, graffiti,
sculptures, paintings, drawings, as well
as foreign languages, the environmental
education, robotics, cooking, literature,
philosophy, sports, science, in varied actions
of "letramento" literacy
(the result of teaching and learning the
social practices of reading and writing),
in the discussions of culture, genre and
ethics, among so many, drawing lines and
going through the educational thought in
conversations among communities of differences.
It opens as an invitation to experimentation,
for many times spoken or written words diminish
the intensity of what one lives. That is
the reason why it is an invitation to life,
to let oneself go through the spaces, colors,
smells, sounds, images, voices, writings,
drawings, wishes which circulate and make
us think beyond what is set and shout that
the best belief is the belief in life!!!
It is to live! Live life!
